Zine Making Workshop with Holly Casio

Celebrate women artists, activists, community leaders, musicians, family members and unsung heroes in this Women in Focus themed zine making workshop.
What are zines?
Zines are self-published DIY documents with a history rooted in radical publishing. Using cut and paste collage, writing and art, you can make your own publication dedicated to putting your heroes in the spotlight. No artistic skill, experience, or technical expertise is necessary – anyone can make a zine!
About the facilitator
Holly Casio is a zine maker, writer and workshop facilitator. She uses collage, text and illustrations to create zines and comix relating to mental health, queer identity and pop culture, as well as using zines to share information around politics and activism. She uses cut-and-paste DIY methods of creating zines and comix to demystify the self-publishing process, making zines cheap and accessible to all.
