Zen & Zine: Creative Therapy for the Mind

October 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

BOOK A PLACE HERE

Join this 2 hour ZINEing class and create something unique (tea and biscuits provided!).

A zine, short for magazine or fanzine, is a self-published work that combines visuals and text in a unique, often experimental format. Zines can be messy, creative, and deeply personal, making them an ideal medium for expressing emotions, experiences, and thoughts.

This workshop will guide students in creating their own personal zines, emphasising personal wellbeing in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment. By engaging in the process of zine-making, participants can explore and articulate their feelings, promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Students will learn various techniques for combining images and words to tell their own stories. This process encourages self-reflection, creativity, and personal growth. The supportive atmosphere of the workshop ensures that everyone feels comfortable sharing and expressing themselves, fostering a sense of community and connection. Students will create a personal zine that reflects their unique journey and emotions in a nurturing and inspiring setting.
