Social Practice Social is a regular discussion forum for artists, programmers, community organisers, activists, and others working with participation, collaboration, public space, or social change.
In December’s session, Creative Engagement Manager Bo Olawoye will discuss the process of facilitating a series of creative sessions with participants from Broxtowe Women’s Project and Heya Nottingham to co-produce a visually stunning zine.
The zine project is inspired by the recent ‘Power: Freedom to Create‘ exhibition at National Justice Museum. It shows contemporary and historical artwork made by people who have had their freedom taken away from them. The women created artwork and text inspired by the Power exhibition and how we use creativity to get through difficult times in our lives.
Refreshments provided. Please contact rebecca@weareprimary with any questions and access needs.
