(AKA Trans Day of Staying In and Having a Nice Book / Trans Day of Visibility).
Inspired by Trans Day of Nice Snack – in 2024 and 2025 I ran Trans Day of Having a Nice Book, a project where any trans person in the UK could request a book of their choice as a gift. People could then buy individual books or donate towards a larger funding pot.
It’s Trans Day of Visibility annually on March 31st but trans people don’t need just visibility, they need better human rights, and nice treats. Get someone a treat, and then fight alongside them. Together we have sent hundreds of free books to trans people so far, how lovely!
In 2024 we sent over 230 zines (I lost the exact final count), and in 2025 we sent 276 books – one for everyone who requested a book* that year.
*at least everyone who requested one we could physically get our hands on.
