DESCRIPTION:BOOK A PLACE HERE \nJoin the Cut Out Club for an uplifting Sunday afternoon filled with zine-making. \nMake your very own upcycled ‘eco zine’ from otherwise landfill-destined materials\, and engage your senses in a radical act of artivism to inspire an accessible means of exploring climate change as a community ✂️ \nWe will be crafting completely unique mini-zines made exclusively from scraps and salvaged papercraft goods collected from across the Highlands. \nBrowse the bothy to gain inspiration from our collection of over 100 zines\, then indulge in making your very own in response to the theme of environmentalism. \nYou will also have the opportunity to donate your zine to the collection if desired. \nOpen to all experience levels\, and all materials are provided. Workshop is free to attend\, but booking is required as spaces are limited to 18 people. Any donations are gratefully received and will go towards maintaining the Highland Zine Bothy. \nCut Out Club is a series of collage zine-making workshops\, each of which have a distinct theme that encourages attendees to reflect and meaningfully create in a collaborative community environment. \nFounded in 2023 by Tasch of Assemblage Collective and Iona of DeZiners\, the duo are currently in partnership with St Margarets House in Bethnal Green\, London. \nGetting to the workshop venue: \n📍 You can find the Highland Zine Bothy situated at Circus Artspace\, Unit 8\, Telford Street Retail Park\, Carsegate Road\, Inverness\, IV3 8EX – part of the Outerspaces Scotland network. \n♿️ Free car parking\, ground floor access\, wheelchair accessible toilet. \nThis workshop is taking place as part of the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival 2024\, taking place from 1st-30th September. DESCRIPTION:BOOK A PLACE HERE \nAs part of the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival\, join us in an informal group discussion about our everyday invisible impact on the planet\, then turn everyone’s collective responses into a collaborative craftivism zine ✂️ \nBrowse the bothy to gain inspiration from our collection of over 150 zines\, then indulge in making your very own in response to the theme of environmentalism. \nOur final collaborative zine will be added into our growing collection under the ‘Nature & Environment’ category for future reference by the public. \nOpen to all experience levels\, and all materials are provided. We will only be using reclaimed materials during this workshop; if you would like to bring any along\, we kindly ask that you keep the environment in mind and refrain from bringing any single-use supplies. \nWorkshop is free to attend\, but booking is required as spaces are limited to 18 people.
