DESCRIPTION:Book tickets here\n\nTo accompany the screening of the documentary REBEL DYKES at 8.30pm\, Edinburgh Filmhouse\, join the pre-screening zine making workshop\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nOn Friday 17 December\, the REBEL DYKES are in Edinburgh! \nTo accompany the screening of the hit documentary at 8.30pm\, Edinburgh Filmhouse all ticket holders can attend a REBEL DYKES themed zine-making workshop at Leith Hall\, Nicolson Square hosted by Edinburgh Zine Library. \nThe zine-making workshop will be themed around producer and orgional Rebel Dyke Siobhan Fahey’s REBEL DYKES archive. Siobhan will also be taking part in the workshop. \nMaterials provided\, all ticket holders welcome\, regardless of artistic ability. \n  \nAbout the film: \nOne of the hits of 2021 BFI Flare Festival\, Rebel Dykes follows a tight-knit group of friends who met at Greenham Common peace camp and became artists\, performers\, musicians and activists in London. A hot\, heady\, punky\, sexy mash-up of animation\, previously unseen rare archive footage and new interviews tells the story of a radical scene: squatters\, BDSM nightclubs\, anti-Thatcher rallies\, protests demanding action around AIDS and the fierce ties of chosen families. Co-directors Harri Shanahan and Siân A. William have created one of the most innovative and inspiring debut documentaries of 2021. \n  \nThe zine making workshop is available to all ticket holders of the REBEL DYKES screening at Edinburgh Filmhouse on 17 Dec\, 8.30pm.
