DESCRIPTION:Come along to the inaugural Sticky Fingers Publishing Fair\, an event bringing together Sticky Fingers’ friends\, collaborators and allies for a fair celebrating feminist\, queer\, disabled-led and local interdisciplinary publishing. \nFeaturing Em-Dash\, Sissy Anarchy\, Sold Out Publishing\, Toothgrinder Press\, Think Big Read Library\, Intellitrash\, Ruth Beale\, Arcadia Missa\, Abstract Supply\, Montez Press\, Emily Pope\, PageMasters\, BitterSweet Review & more! The line up for our communal table will be announced soon. \nThe Gallery at the Lewisham Arthouse has completely step-free access\, with an accessible toilet and baby changing. \nWe will be programming a quiet hour from 12–1pm. During this period there will be no music\, and stallholders will not make small talk with you should you approach their table. We will also have a quiet space available all day\, however please note the quiet space is up two flights of stairs with no step free access. \nKN95 masks will be supplied on the door\, and we will be requesting that you wear one unless you are exempt. Please note that during the fair Lewisham Arthouse will have other events happening in the building and its regular studio occupants coming and going\, and so we can’t guarantee that in the communal areas of the building people will be wearing masks. We ask you to do a lateral flow test before coming if you are able\, and if you are feeling unwell with Covid symptoms then please stay at home. \nThe Arthouse will be running a tea/coffee stand\, and a donations bar.

The press focuses on promoting and uplifting work by LGBTQ+ writers and artists\, providing a space to spotlight this work without barriers of themes or publishing history. Their regular zine has a rolling submissions window\, welcoming prose\, poetry and artwork. Their upcoming debut anthology\, Trickster\, is set for publication by the end of 2022.

As the theme of this year’s fair is reconnect\, María will read some of her beautiful stories about how we can reconnect with nature and protect endangered animals. \n\n\n\n\n\nEXHIBITION | Thinking Inside the Box \nLatin American Political Pamphlets \nCurated by King’s College London \nThinking Inside the Box is the result of a co-curricular\, student-led pedagogical project set up at King’s College London in 2021. Working in close partnership with University of London’s Senate House Library\, the project accompanied students to take a dive into the library’s largely unknown yet expansive Special Collection of Latin American Political Pamphlets of the mid- to late-20th century. Inspired by the work of Brazilian pedagogist Paulo Freire\, the project intended to bring student’s worldviews and positionalities into the interpretation and treatment of the visual artefacts contained in the collection. \nThe exhibition was first launched on Wednesday 30 March 2022\, at the Exchange of King’s College London\, but it is also set to travel to different locations across the world in the coming year.
