DESCRIPTION:Join us to mark the launch of the zine\, celebrate female creativity and raise funds for a worthy cause!\nAlong with the opportunity to mingle with some creative\, like-minded people\, come along to pick up a copy of the zine\, enter our (rather incredible) raffle\, jazz up your nails (if you fancy) and eat cake – all in the name of celebrating creativity\, and raising funds for Inkwell Arts along the way. \nFeaturing a pop-up bar from Archie’s Bar and Kitchen – with 50p from all drinks going towards our Inkwell funraising pot! \nAbout the Kvinde Zine\nThe zine looks at the many different facets of female creativity\, and features a moving photo essay\, a hard-hitting piece on the very meaning of feminism\, as well as some incredible illustration work and lighter narrative pieces. In short\, we’re celebrating female creativity\, with the end goal of raising money for a very worthy cause. \nAbout Inkwell Arts\nInkwell Arts is a safe\, dedicated arts space that enriches lives through creativity\, and promoting positive mental health. DESCRIPTION:Art Against the Grain presents Decolonise Not Diversify: a one-day festival to unpack and challenge dominant narratives. \n‘The concept of diversity only exists if there is an assumed neutral point from which ‘others’ are ‘diverse.’ Putting aside for now the straight\, male\, middle-classness of that ‘neutral’ space\, its dominant aspect is whiteness. Constructed by a white establishment\, the idea of ‘diversity’ is neo-liberal speak. DESCRIPTION:Come and join us in the centre of Manchester for a weekend of waterside entertainment. Discover art\, music and creative technology on the canal during this new 2-day fun filled\, exploratory and innovative festival. Build an underwater robot\, make a floating digital artwork\, participate in a giant canal game. Enjoy the canal by boat or explore below the surface with virtual reality headsets and create a Zine about the canal. \n  \nZines are comics and pamphlets made with a Do It Yourself ethos\, their subjects ranging from football\, to bands\, to obsessions with cute red Scandinavian boats. Visitors will be able to browse Zines whilst hanging out at Pioneer Quay\, bring a picnic blanket. \n \nSalford Zine Library seeks to preserve and provide access to Zines from around the world\, as well as promoting Zines and DIY culture through workshops\, exhibitions and other events. \nThe Waterside Zine Library is a ‘Just turn up’ activity at Pioneer Quay. It’s on from 11am ’til 4pm on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of September.

DESCRIPTION:After last year’s riproaring success\, the Leeds Zine Fair is back. It’s in the same place – the fabulous former church of Left Bank – for a massive celebration of zines\, self publishing\, radical politics and DIY culture. \nThere will be a wealth of stuff going on with 50+ stalls\, workshops\, a Zine in a Day printed there and then from pages punters give us\, have-a-go screen printing\, badge making and more! \nThere will also be food including wood fired pizzas from Streatza and a licensed bar all day. \nThe Leeds Zine Fair is being organised by Footprint – Leeds’ zine-happy radical printing co-operative.
