DESCRIPTION:Dream Babes is a long term project that explores science and speculative fiction as a productive strategy of queer resistance\, imaging futurity that does not depend on existing historical and social infrastructure. It has included science fiction porn screenings and talks\, a three-day programme of performance at Auto Italia South East\, a publication\, and a regular science fiction reading group for queer people of colour. \nThis event celebrates the launch of Dream Babes zine 2.0 published by PSS\, featuring contributions from: \nSophia Al Maria \nDanielle Brathwaite-Shirley \nAngela Chan and Xia Jia \nOrion J Facey \nBing Hao \nIrene Tokini Fubara Manuel \nImani Robinson \nAshkan Sepahvand \nDaniella Valz Gen \nVictoria Sin and Samuel R Delany \nDream Babes Zine 2.0 focuses on the questions that speculative fiction can ask which are especially important now – what if things were different? What if things stay the same? How can we realise the absurd in the familiar? \nPart of Site Gallery’s exhibition ‘Rewriting The Future‘ Public Programme.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dream Nails for a night of feminist punk and zine readings on reproductive justice\, featuring support band Brosephine! \nWe’re releasing a limited edition double A-side vinyl of “Vagina Police”/ “Fascism is Coming” on 7th February with Everything Sucks Music\, and 100% of the physical and digital proceeds are going to Abortion Support Network. \nThe record is accompanied by a zine on reproductive justice\, written by Dream Nails friends and fans. This zine will also be available on the night separately. As a feminist DIY band with activism at its core\, we’ve made the decision to use this release as a way to generate awareness and support for reproductive justice issues that extend far beyond abortion. \nReproductive justice affects us all in so many different ways\, across gender\, sexuality\, race\, class\, ability and immigration status – it’s about the right to have or not have a child\, the right to parent\, and the right to access services and resources that enable your choices. \nSo come and join us on the 7th\, in celebration of reproductive justice and solidarity.
