DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the release of #BoringSelfCare illustration zine. An informal relaxed event\, come have a drink\, buy a zine and meet new people. \nAccess: this event is British Sign Language interpreted. The venue is level access. The downstairs part of the bookshop is not wheelchair accessible\, however Hannah will only be using the upstairs part of the shop. \nZine: this is a self published book\, “zine” celebrating Hannah Daisy’s #BoringSelfCare illustration project. All the #BoringSelfCare illustrations she has drawn plus more will be in her 48 page full colour A5 zine. \nThe zine will be £10. £1 from every sale will go to Hospital Rooms charity.

SUMMARY:Dream Babes Zine Readings
DESCRIPTION:Dream Babes is a long term project that explores science and speculative fiction as a productive strategy of queer resistance\, imaging futurity that does not depend on existing historical and social infrastructure. It has included science fiction porn screenings and talks\, a three-day programme of performance at Auto Italia South East\, a publication\, and a regular science fiction reading group for queer people of colour. \nThis event celebrates the launch of Dream Babes zine 2.0 published by PSS\, featuring contributions from: \nSophia Al Maria \nDanielle Brathwaite-Shirley \nAngela Chan and Xia Jia \nOrion J Facey \nBing Hao \nIrene Tokini Fubara Manuel \nImani Robinson \nAshkan Sepahvand \nDaniella Valz Gen \nVictoria Sin and Samuel R Delany \nDream Babes Zine 2.0 focuses on the questions that speculative fiction can ask which are especially important now – what if things were different? What if things stay the same? How can we realise the absurd in the familiar? \nPart of Site Gallery’s exhibition ‘Rewriting The Future‘ Public Programme.
