DESCRIPTION:THE GRRRLIZM ZINE LAUNCH PARTY \nThe party will be held in March in celebration of Women’s History Month and the 100th year of women receiving partial voting rights! You can purchase our zine as well as artwork by female creatives on the night. \nProfits from the Grrrlizm Zine will be donated to the Pankhurst Trust and Women’s Aid\, who support survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. The Pankhurst centre is the former home of Emmeline Pankhurst and the birthplace of the Suffragette movement. It is an iconic building with political significance and memorabilia that is active in helping women in the community today. The centre is run by volunteers and supported through donations with no public funding. In celebration of the Suffragette’s accomplishments\, we aim to raise money and awareness of the centre as well as issues that still affect women today. \nThis is a FREE event and EVERYBODY is welcome! However\, we ask our guests to donate sanitary products that we can donate to Every Month\, a charity supporting homeless women. Zine is a music zine that gives women a voice. \nAfter the massively successful and sold-out launch of our first zine\, we are holding another event for our second issue\, CHANGE\, at the Castle Hotel Manchester on 24/3/17 from 4-10pm. It’s going to be an afternoon of live music\, zine workshops\, karaoke\, & DJs! \nWITH: \nAn all-women open mike\, with performances from those involved in the zine and beyond. \nA karaoke session that celebrates the best of all the women artists you love. \nZine workshops for you to make your own zine to take home with you / contribute to our zine.\n\nA GRRRL DJ set \nThis event is inclusive to all genders\, providing solidarity\, community\, and support.
