But the Rose Hill is still standing\, and the Rose Tinted Spectacular is still celebrating zines\, lovely lovely zines\, while calling for an end to borders. If anything\, with greater gusto than ever before. Join us on 2nd December for zines lovely zines from 3pm\, and zines + hilarious and amazing performances from 7. Yes we have talks! Yes we have stand-up philosophy! Yes we have poems! Yes we have music! We may even have Lisa Nandy singing Avanti Popolo\, we haven’t heard back from her yet. SUMMARY:9 Grrrl Zine presents Feminist Christmas Fair
DESCRIPTION:Grrrl Zine Fair are bringing the bunting\, paste ups and tinsel to RAW Labs. We’re creating a feminist christmas party hosting a zine\, art and craft fair\, interactive workshops and film screenings throughout the day\, a zine library\, a panel talk and the most finely tuned holiday playlist\, creating an immersive alternative Christmas environment with traditional influences such as carols\, festive foods\, stocking embroidery and card making but with more glitter and less awkward relatives. The venue will be decorated inside and out\, sprawling out around the docks with artist performances and DIY sculptures. \n– ZINE\, ART & CRAFT FAIR\nSelf-publishers and makers will be taking over the Royal Albert Wharf\, selling their wares. Come support your local women & non binary artists. You’ll almost defiantly find the perfect gift for your favourite feminist or the perfect satirical card for your not so favourite relative. \n– PERFORMANCES\, SCREENINGS\, GRRRL ZINE LIBARY\nWorking with the traditional medium of Christmas Carolling\, artists Ruth Spencer Jolly and Electra Lynne-Gold reimagine Mrs. Claus \nArtists short films contemplating ideas surrounding Home and Christmas from feminist and queer perspectives shown throughout the day. \nMaking a special appearance is the Grrrl Zine library installation\, home to over 300 feminist and queer independent publications. \n– WORKSHOPS:\n~Card Making with Polyester Zine~\nBad taste angels of Polyester Zine are making Christmas cards and you’re invited. Bring your frills and bows and make a Christmas card you probably shouldn’t send to your nan. \n~Christmas Wrapping~\nDraw and collage your own bunting flag from Christmas wrapping\, with inspiration from female rappers with artist Lucie Russell. The bunting will be wrapped around the nearby bridge and exhibited for the rest of the day. All ages welcome. \n~Screen Printing~\nLearn the basics of Screen-Printing and create your own personalised tote bag or A4 prints with Artist Eva Gold. \n~Stocking Embroidery ~\nArtist Gini Dickinson will teach you how to embroider your own Christmas stocking and give you a skill you can develop at home while you settle into your sofa for the holidays.\nFree & Materials included. \n~Zine Making with ROADFEMME~\nROADFEMME is a bi-annual intersectional newspaper zine that showcases raw\, honest storytelling in a variety of creative methods\, catapulting marginalised voices worldwide.\nLearn how to make a mini Zine using simple folding techniques\, some pagination and lots of collaging and we’ll see you behind a table at the next fair. \n~Feminist Balls~\nMake decorative baubles to give your tree some sass this season\, with Artist Bex Pannett. \n– PANEL DISCUSSION:\n‘All I want for Christmas is Utopia’
