DESCRIPTION:Sheffield Zine Fest 2016 will be held on Saturday 30 April 2016\, 11am – 4pm\, and we’re at the Hallam Hubs\, just up the hill from the railway station on Awesome Street\, Sheffield! This year we are linking with Sheffield Hallam University Student Union LGBT Liberation Group as part of the Year of Making. \nIt’s FREE ENTRY as always\, and the Hubs is an accessible venue. Come along to swap and buy zines\, attend or deliver workshops\, and browse stalls held by Sheffield’s local zinesters and artists\, plus some of our amazing zine-writing pals from further afield who we are very glad to be welcoming again this year. \nWe will be collecting donations on the day to cover costs and to contribute to materials for workshop leaders\, and are raising funds for SAYiT – Sheffield’s LGBT youth group. Please donate if you can in advance or on the day! \nSaturday night\, we’d love it if you’d support our good friends at Girl Gang Sheffield who are!

DESCRIPTION:The 8th Bristol Anarchist Bookfair – Building An Anarchist Future – at Trinity Centre\, Trinity Rd\, Bristol BS2 0NW\, with the Radical History Zone just 5 minutes down the road at Hydra Bookshop. You are all invited to Bristol & the south west’s largest explicitly radical political event! Entry is free/donations welcome. \nExpect 60+ tables of Stalls\, numerous meetings/talks/discussion workshops\, anarchist art display\, all-day vegan cafe\, kids space\, a quiet (support) room\, and outdoor green space. Plus an After-Party in the evening. \nThe Theme: “If capitalism collapsed tomorrow would we be ready? It’s hard to plan for an uncertain future\, as we don’t know how things will play out. Nor is it realistic to think there will ever be a point where we will have reached our destination or ideal utopia. \nHowever\, we can work on building our resilience & solidarity & co-operation\, experimenting with different ways of organising\, exchanging skills & resources\, growing food & sustainability\, dealing with conflict\, and so on. \nThe aim of this year’s Bookfair is to focus on the future…as capital’s global crisis deepens and conflicts escalate\, with disastrous consequences for humanity & the planet\, the need for lasting social revolution has never been greater…the future is bright IF the future is anarchism!”
