DESCRIPTION:As part of Print! Tearing It Up\, Somerset House and Somerset House Studios residents OOMK\, present PROCESS!\, a two day festival celebrating independent media and making\, bringing together established and emerging designers\, artists\, activists and publishers to explore\, interrogate and share approaches to creative and collaborative process. In the context of high speed media and access to infinite information\, how do we create time\, space and approaches that can enable us to process the social and political climate and create new media and outputs? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSomerset House Studio artists OOMK co-curate this unique weekend\, including a programme of talks\, workshops and installations alongside a zine fair. Each strand will highlight different processes behind organising\, designing and publishing\, whilst consciously considering developments in interdependent industry\, digital reach and opportunities for international relations. \nStay tuned for the full announcement of exhibitor stalls\, talks\, workshops and the celebratory closing party to come. \nPlease be aware that some artworks and opinions expressed may not be suitable for young children. \nOne of My Kind (OOMK) is a collaborative publishing practice led by Rose Nordin\, Sofia Niazi and Heiba Lamara. Working together since 2014\, OOMK make\, publish and distribute books and printed works which arise from self-initiated projects. OOMK also commission new works by women artists and co-curate DIY Cultures\, one of the UK’s largest annual independent publishing fairs. With a focus on self-publishing and education\, OOMK founded and run a community Risograph printing press in East London\,  Rabbits Road Press. OOMK are currently residents at Somerset House Studios. \nOOMK Zine is a highly visual\, handcrafted small-press publication. Printed biannually\, its content pivots upon the imaginations\, creativity and spirituality of women. Each issue centres around a different creative theme\, with more general content exploring topics of faith\, activism and identity.

DESCRIPTION:The Number Shop studios & gallery would like to invite you to our first ART FAIR run in conjunction with CRISPS\, the zine shop of Paradise Palms! \nOur gallery shop is stocked with countless prints\, zines\, comix\, tapes\, ceramics\, stickers and cards from loads of local artists awaiting your perusal. \nWe are also proud to host SOLID BONES\, who will be doing live tattoos\, so do drop in if you need a touch up! \nThroughout the evening our sonic kitchen will be possessed by a number of sound artists performing atmospheric noisescapes throughout the building.\nThis includes Mannequin Factory\, Sleet Walls\, Invisible Maggot\, All-Night Vigil\, Saddo & more! \nOur ART FAIR runs as part of The Number Shop’s exhibition series MELON for the 2017 Edinburgh Art Festival\, which currently holds artworks by Flo Gordon and Joe Coghill in our project spaces. \nThe MELON Art Fair is open to all – join us if you wish to sell some of your own artwork or trade with other artists! \nWe hope you’ll come along for an evening sights\, sounds and smells!
