Zine Club (Norwich Millennium Library)

“Zines are usually created with the intention not to profit monetarily but to share one’s thoughts, feelings, creativity, experience, and/or knowledge with others. Zines are part of a DIY culture which often includes people from marginalized communities or those who don’t have access to more mainstream publishing options.”

Norwich Millennium Zine Library has 200+ zines on topics like activism, protest, local interest, gender, sexuality, photography, art, nature, and more.

Girls Empowerment Workshop – Being Human Festival

The University of East Anglia and Day of the Girl Norwich are hosting an interactive empowerment workshop specifically for young people (14-17).

Led by Dr Erica Horton, the session will include discussion and debate about what empowers girls in their communities, and a zine-making workshop. We’re inviting young people to work together to realise your worth and empower one another and also to get creative by making the ultimate DIY literature – zines!

Open to all genders.

Norwich Zine Fair Vol.4

FREE ENTRY

The Norwich Zine Fair returns to Norwich Arts Centre for this, its 4th edition! The arts centre will be packed to the brim with self-produced and published books, magazines and comics. It’s a real point of pride that the majority of stall holders are local to our region. Norwich has always been a hub of creativity and independence and the Zine Fair will provide ample testament to this.

There will be live music, acts tba soon! AND there will also be a selection of sweet treats from vegan baker supreme Deerly Beloved Bakery. (Vegan)and veggie burgers available from the cafe/bar.
