Zine making workshop

A zine is a DIY created publication for self-expression. It can be about anything you want, like personal experiences and stories, drawings, poems, photography, music, films… health, travel, cats, food… Zines can be put together by one person or a group of people and are often photocopied in black & white and stapled.

In this zine making workshop, with zinester Julius Smit, we will make a collaborative zine using cut and paste, writing, drawing, rubber stamp lettering, typewriter. Each participant will be able to take away their own copy of the completed zine at the end of the workshop.

Although basic materials are provided, participants are encouraged to bring along any art, photographs, writing, poetry they would like to include in the zine.

The DC3 Workshop Space is a comfortable place to work in and tea/coffee, chocolates and biscuits will be on offer!
